A referee buzzer flag system is an electronic communications system that communicates from assistant referees to the referee via radio and is designed to improve cooperation between assistant referees and referees. Thanks to the beep and vibration, an assistant referee can advise and inform the referee when the flag is flying.
Ervocom referee buzzer flags
Number 1 in the field of referee buzzer flags are the Referee Paging Systems, RPS2156, developed by Ervocom. RPS2156 provides a data link between flag and pager via radio communication. This uses a two-way communication method. This means that once the message is received by the pager, the referee will immediately receive confirmation through a beep and a vibration. This ensures the best possible technical reliability and performance during football matches.
Because each flag now has its unique ID, different flags and pagers can be configured within one system. The previously used different color codes are no longer necessary. Using the programming mode, new and additional flags can be assigned to a pager. The maximum number of flags is ten. Volume and tone adjustments can now be configured directly on the flag. This has two advantages: First, you no longer have to open the pager for the configuration. Second, each flag can now be configured individually. This makes it easy to, for example, set one flag at a high volume level and another flag at a lower volume.
